Hampshire Downs Youth
Pilgrimage to the Holy Land October 2009

During October half term week 2009, some of our young people (and their adult helpers) had a great opportunity to visit the Holy Land.

Canon Paul led a tour to Jordan and Israel for young people in Hampshire Downs Parish. They left on Friday 23rd October and have just returned safely (Friday 30th).

They visited biblical sites, including Jerusalem and the Sea of Galilee, and also had fun in swimming pools and on beaches.

Day 1 - Leaving Winchester

Day 3 - Galilee, Tabgha, Capernaum, Bethsaida 

Day 4 - "Via Maris" - Galilee to Jerusalem 

Day 5 - Jerusalem and Bethlehem 

 Day 6 - Jerusalem - including the Via Dolorosa and Calvary 

Day 7 - Jordan River, Mount Nebo, Madeba 

Day 8 - Home safely!
